Oooh this IS marvellous Susan!! I love it! I love the mossy steps up to the door and Jayne's wonderful Floozies setting the delightful scene...I love the little blue butterfly! The tea party is fab!!!!
And my floozies.....yes I do like where they are. It really makes me smile when people recognize my ideas and work.
Frida and Rhiannon look perfectly at home right there. You made the right choice with the leaves...the teller ones really set it off.
I am beaming like the Cheshire cat :-)
I certainly wouldn't attempt to get past Frida lol.
As for the rest...I LOVE the overgrown mossy steps...excellent touch.
And the butterfly is great.
I love how the hatter has his own personal table at the end.
And the main chair...wow...it looks even better in place.
I love how you've aged all the other chairs too...esp the blue one.
And a rug on the grass....that is a wonderful whimsical touch.
I just love it all. Front to back it is one of the best scenes I've ever seen....well done xxx
Be careful with those floozies now....the first born are always the meanest...ones that don't come from the kingdom of Tallulah Belle just can't cut it ;-)
I agree with Jayne it really is one of the very best scenes ive ever seen Susan I adore it all! As you know Im doing my own Hatter room and tea party but thats whats so fun , to see all the differences in peoples ideas and takes on a setting. But I wont be as quick as youve been and I only hope I can be half as creative! And a purple and orange floozy, oh wow! I adore Rhiannon, especially having a step daughter with the name lol! Its all too incredible for words!! You should be so proud of all your hard work , where is it to be kept? Love Kate xx
I recognized Tallulah Belle's flowers immediately! Susan, this really is just amazing. The pictures are beautiful, I could look at your scenes for hours. What a terrific job you've done.
So much to see,so many perfectly wonderful details ! I love that the hatter has his own table, I love Jaynes floozies ! I love the tiny cakes and well I could go on and on....but I wont LOL It really is all simply perfect, a beautiful scene Susan, julie xxx
Es una escena verdaderamente maravillosa!!! Hay que ver las fotos varias veces para disfrutar de todos los bellos detalles. Podria ser una escena de pelicula, te ha quedado francamente genial!!! besitos ascension
Absolutely wonderful Susan and sorry i have not got here sooner. Been a bit under the weather! Ive never read Alice nor seen the film but have looked at pictures from the movies, and love your interpretation. It looks so magical and the chair sets it of to perfection. Yummy food, wish i was at that table with those lovely cakes!
Mel....the flowers with faces are Floozies by the remarkably talented Tallulah Belle. If you click on her name in the above comments, you can go to her blog and see much more of her work.
I'm sorry. I meant to make a post mentioning all the atists I used in the piece. I must do that.
Tabitha Corsica, aka the Ice Queen...my alter ego. The sublime miniaturist...not the one who cooks, cleans, does laundry and runs the taxi service. I have a husband and a teenage son and 2 lively Havanese dogs (need I say more?). All of which has a strange way of taking over much of my time. But making, collecting and just plain looking at miniatures is what I do best and what I crave to do the most....outside of reading a really good book.

Your Hatter's chair is perfect in the scene. Tea Party is my favorite.

I just LOOOVE your Alice in Wonderland scene! And the talking flowers are fabulous! May I ask where you got them? Did you make them yourself?
