I now know more about psychedilic fungi than I ever thought I wanted to know....and I am a child of the 60's.....
Anyway, I made about a bazillion of these teensy things and lost easily half of them in the carpet... Bleh! But the ones that surived turned out quite nice and I believe I have enough for the project.
While I was at it, I decided to make some white and brown button mushrooms (for what purpose I have no idea but I am sure some need will arise... Alas, many of them also ended up in the carpet...). You can see them mixed in with the fly agarics. Just don't mix them up in the kitchen!
I think I will have to dust the brown and white ones with a little "dirt". Then I think I'll put them in a little market basket for the kitchen. Cute, eh? Not that hard to make either...just fussy.
I'll post a picture if I ever get them in the basket....
(PS: I have another project going for the "bones" in the background but more about that later...)

These are great! I was there in the 60s, too, and I find it's more fun to remember it than it was to be there - no stretch clothes, mainly boring food, our tv news took six weeks to get here (New Zealand) by boat!!
I've tried and failed to make polymer clay mushies, the clay wins every time.
Well done!

AND you put tiny little white dots on them!!!! After that your eyes must be 'crossed' for hours?
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who loses things in the carpet! :) Lovely work. I know how hard those little bits are to do!

I drop things all the time Tabitha. I like making shrooms but have to be in the mood as they are fiddly little things LOL. I am interested in your bones, I have been making bones too. Looking forward to seeing them in the basket.

I love them. Hey, how about searching the carpet and sending the lost ones to me! LOL! I want to try tiny 'shrooms but haven't gotten around to it yet!

Your shrooms are excellent! I lose stuff in my carpet too and remember when I made a 24th scale Punch & Judy and dropped the sausages on the floor .... I gave up looking eventually and just made some more.
Theres an award for you on my blog too x
oohh pretty little mushrooms.
I have a load here as well...I love making them but rarely use them any more. Now I am being asked to make more weird plants perhaps I'll dig them out.
Have you ever tried working with an apron on to catch all the bits...I haven't but I keep meaning too.
Glad to hear I am not the only one with dropsie! lol. And yes, sometimes I think my eyes do cross 8-)!
Jayne...strangely enough, I usually do wear an apron but I lost these in transit from the oven (in the utility room) to the work table (in the studio). I thought they'd stick to the tile a little better but they just rolled right off....bummer.
When I was making all those eyes I had the same problem with them rolling off the tile....so I put the tile in a Pyrex dish.
Didn't lose any and it was easier to pull out of the oven than a tile :-)
The mushrooms are too cute!! And I know what you mean about losing things in the carpet!
