Skull Candelabra

Sorry to have been so scarce lately. I 've been working fast and furiously on getting things in order for the upcoming show in 10 days. I just finished these two skull candelabras and thought I'd share since I was so pleased with how they turned out.

I saw a picture of a full-sized 5 arm one on a Goth Accessory website and thought I'd like to see if I could do it mini.I had to antique the bright brass base (which was more a pain than it should have been) but I had the beads left over from a Halloween party and, of course, I have lots of fimo around... ;-)

It's the only summer show here in Florida...Lakeland Usually it's busy because we are all starved for mini's by then but this year, who knows? Lots of people without jobs.

Glad you are inspired. They were easy to do, Ara and Debie. Allow me to send you some skull beads. I have more than I will use in my lifetime. I bought them years ago for my son's Halloween party (the kids were to make bracelets) and, of course, I have to buy a ginormous bag. They are shiny plastic but when you bake them with the clay, they turn matte and look pretty good with the candle sticking out of their head...lol

Hi Susan. I love your candleabra and the fab melted candles. I now want to make candles too!
I have some of those beads and you can fill the bottom hole in with clay and then paint them ever so roughly to look like bone.
Then you can pop hair in the top hole and put them in jars as shrivelled skulls. Or even hang them on strings like you would see with onions and garlic bulbs. All the hair would look great twining around the skull below and the one below that.
When is your show? Hope you are making good progress and on the day have great sales.
Lovely to see you blogging again too!

Wow - these look great! And very spooky. I like how you shaped the tops of the candles to look as though they've been used. Very effective!
