I just saw the coolest Dumbledore desk over at the Whittaker's blog and remembered these:
I made them a few months ago and got a little carried away.... I must have a dozen. Well, a good Wizard astrologer can never have too many Orreries. And they make nice gifts.
Plus they're very fun to make....no two are ever alike!
oooh Susan, these are fab! I will be very interested if you are ever going to make these to sell, I really want to have lots of things like this in the study and yours are so cool!! Good job. Wish I was good with a slodering iron but i dotn think I should be let loose with such things, Im bad enough with a lighter trying to age my documents he he. Thanks for the mention :-)
Glad you like these. I do plan on selling some of them (or trying to anyway come July...we'll see how that goes.) I've given up scorching my mini documents with real fire after my last "Flaming Fiasco". LOL. Now I just use paint...safer for me; safer for the house.
Tabitha Corsica, aka the Ice Queen...my alter ego. The sublime miniaturist...not the one who cooks, cleans, does laundry and runs the taxi service. I have a husband and a teenage son and 2 lively Havanese dogs (need I say more?). All of which has a strange way of taking over much of my time. But making, collecting and just plain looking at miniatures is what I do best and what I crave to do the most....outside of reading a really good book.
