Ren Faire Finds....

Chalk this up to "you never know where you will stumble across miniatures..."

I went to the local Medieval Festival with my son last weekend. It is a charity thing and I always enjoy seeing how folks are dressed up and watching the Joust and the live Chess Game.

Matt likes the food and the other vendors. While browing through the lapidist's tent, he exclaimed, "Look Mom! Little bowls!" Sure enough, these precious little bowls turned from amethyst and malachite with ruby were nestled in little fluffs of cotton. They are beautifully done and, at only $6 a piece, I had to have more than just one. They are just a bit smaller than a quarter and will go perfectly in any miniature room.

So you never know where miniatures will turn up and it always pays to keep your eyes peeled. Apparently I have drummed this into my son quite well since he was the first to spot them.

What great finds! I love finding mini's in unexpected places! Thank you for following my blog and I've added your's to my blog list. I tend to be a sporadic blogger when life intervenes but am hoping to become more steady at it. Nice to 'meet' you and I'll look forward to seeing what you're up to.
