...or so the song goes at the beginning of the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, the Spring Musical at my son's school which I have yet again found myself involvd in up to my elbows. But it's a fun little show with only half the usual numbers of cast members, decreasing the costuming requirements by half. It's also comtemporary clothing which actually makes it a breeze. At least that is what I am telling myself. :-)
Anyway, here's to wishing everyone who reads this blog the very best of 2010! It' going to be a wonderful year!
I realized that I've been very remiss in publically thanking Linda Carswell from Une Petite Folie. I received the most beautiful lily from her in Rosanna's Christmas Swap. In Australia, where she is from, these lovelies bloom at Christmas. It went immediately into my Christmas Conservatory, as you can see below. Thanks Linda! Looks great in there..
On January 10th, I participated in Molly Cromwell's Sarasota Miniature Show. It was a very nice show and I was pleased with my sales. A dealer bought two tables and a few others items which made me quite happy. The little planetary orries were also quite popular.
I have, however, decided to dip my toe in the waters of internet selling and I have opened an Etsy shop. You can visit it here:
Below is one of the three items I have there now. In the weeks to come, I will be adding things regularily. There is one more show in Orlando coming up at the end of February. After that, I will be offering items for sale only in the Etsy shop until summer, when I may do another show.
This is Madam Delcroix's Elixirs and Restoratives. It includes one of the little balance scales I made as well as lots and lots of dusty old books, scrolls and various other magical gizmos.
If you visit the Etsy shop, you can see a larger picture and more views. The back is finished, as it was it was intended to be viewed from any angle.
I have another project in the works and, with any luck, I'll be back tomorrow with a preview!
Thanks for visiting!
